Warranty, Return, & Payment Policy

Statement of warranty

LED Cool Lights LLC warrants all the products manufactured by LED Cool Lights to be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal use for a period of twelve months after the date of the original purchase price if repair or replacement is not possible or practical. LED Cool Lights warranty covers only the product itself; LED Cool Lights will assume no liability for labor costs, installation costs, or other losses.

Your warranty rights will be honored only when the product has been installed and used properly as deemed by LED Cool Lights. LED Cool Lights will not repair or replace products damaged by improper use or faulty installation. All standard products that are customized at the customers request will not carry the one year warranty. All LED COOL LIGHTS products, not powered by an LED COOL LIGHTS transformer will not be covered under our warranty.LED COOL LIGHTS will not be responsible for RUSH shipping on warranty replacements. In no way will LED COOL LIGHTS be responsible for labor related to Product warranty. 



In case of breakage

All order shipments leave our facility complete and in working order. Customer must report any damage within 24 hours of receipt of order by sending digital photographs (.jpg) of damaged items and shipping materials to sales@ledcoollights.com. Customer must retain damaged merchandise, packing and shipping containers until claim has been settled. Damage in transit is the sole responsibility of the carrier, and any claims beyond this 24 hour period will not be deemed valid by LED Cool Lights. The above procedure MUST be followed or credit for the damaged merchandise cannot be given. All claims regarding shipment error must be made within 24 hours of receipt of merchandise.



Return policy

LED Cool Lights will accept returns for a full refund, of production products only, ( No Refunds on Custom Orders), within 7 days of the shipment of your order.*Please note exceptions below.

Returns must be first acknowledged by LED Cool Lights prior to return. To obtain an RMA number and initiate the return process, please contact the customer service department via the phone (866-845-2526), through the contact form on the website, or by an e-mail to sales@ledcoollights.com. All packages sent to LED Cool Lights must have an RMA number issued and printed clearly on the outside of the package. A lack thereof will result in the item being immediately restocked and no credit or refund will be issued. If the RMA number is not clearly printed on the outside of your return package, the package will either be refused by our shipping department or restocked without question. A 20% percent restocking fee is applied to all valid and authorized returns. All returns must be made in their original packaging with sufficient packing material. Modified or installed items will not be accepted for return. Used products can not be returned. Custom orders can not be returned.



For international returns that require a return label: Please note that LED Cool Lights primary carrier is FedEx/UPS and they unfortunately do not honor return labels for international returns. Under these circumstances, LED Cool Lights ask that the customer return the product at their cost and upon receipt of the return, LED Cool Lights will refund any shipping costs.



Custom orders and large orders

Due to the advancing nature of LED technology, custom orders for LED bulbs and fixtures, as well as large orders, are non-refundable and cannot be canceled. Furthermore, all orders must be paid for upon placement. Custom and large orders will not begin production until payment is received in full.

All payments are due 100% prior to delivery.

LED COLOR Tolerances

LED COOL LIGHTS (LCL) takes great pride in the manufacturing standards set to control "LED Color Temperature Tolerances".

Our manufacturing standards lead the industry on color matching LED''s.

Although we have implemented "Color Binning" criteria in our manufacturing processes, there may be a slight color temperature difference when multiple LED's are used in a single project. These color differences are most noticed when color mixing white, with red, green, & blue (RGB). LCL does not guarantee 100% color match. LCL will conduct quality checks on every P.O prior to shipping and makes every effort to ensure the Color Temperatures do not show significant color variations.

LED Color Temperature Tolerances

The color of white light can vary greatly, from a warm yellow-white to a cool blue-white. Most phosphor-based, high-power white LEDs on the market today show significant color variations from one white LED to another. In side-by-side applications, such as wall washers or in an LED array, this color variation may be noticeable and unpleasing. As white LEDs make their way into the general illumination market, color consistency becomes critical for acceptance. LCL has some of the industries highest standards in delivering a pure white LED in all products.

Rather than changing LED manufacturing processes, color binning (i.e., sorting by color appearance) is a more cost-effective option for creating white LED arrays with consistent color. But then the question becomes: How much color variation can there be between similar white LEDs? The American National Standards Institute (ANSI) specifies a 4-step MacAdam ellipse—a region plotted on a color space diagram showing where colors are perceived to be the same—as the color-tolerance criterion for certain types of fluorescent lamps. Though color tolerance is well-known for light sources such as fluorescent, researchers have not investigated color tolerance for LEDs.

Due to the rapidly expanding industry, LED products are continuously being improved upon in ever shortening manufacturing cycles. LED color and product appearance can change from order to order. LED COOL LIGHTS cannot guarantee to replace the product exactly to match the product you are replacing or matching in product appearance, color, or brightness.
